Jessica Jaegger designed the interior of an exceptional 6,000 square-foot vacation home at the Ritz Carlton Residences in Sunny Isles where she envisioned a contemporary yet edgy aesthetic for a Brazilian couple with adult children and grandchildren. This project was an opportunity to bring the rich Brazilian feel of her country’s architecture, specifically incorporating natural materials like stone, wood, netting style drapes, and natural fibers to bring an immediately striking modern organic style to this sprawling penthouse. With ocean and city views her goal was to tie in these natural elements in complement to the iconic furnishings and important art in a chic yet global style.

Receiving the apartment with only developer delivered finishes, Jessica started with the floors, placing Santa Caterina Italian travertine floors in the common areas and bathrooms while opting for French oak floors in the bedrooms. A unique design element, the ceilings are clad in white oak drawing the eye to fabulous views adding warmth and distinction to each ambiance. Custom millwork and architectural detailing is found throughout from the main entrance to the bedrooms elevating each environment beyond its original layout. Jessica’s interiors are known for exemplary craftsmanship and outstanding details creating interior spaces with an inherent cool factor.

In the main living room, the space resonates with sculptural details and saturated hues from the rich Bordeaux Sergio Rodrigues armchairs to the bold colors in the Manolo Valdes painting. A striking balance is achieved in this space between the endless ocean views and natural light. The thoughtful mix of contemporary furniture from iconic Brazilian designers creates a dynamic that allows each piece to standout on their own from the Poliform sofa to the custom designed amorphous cocktail table in reclaimed walnut wood that adds a modern organic touch. Jessica combined a curated selection of textures and accessories that effortlessly unite the design.
