SUNSET ISLANDS
Designed as a pied-a-terre for a family from Charlotte, NC this Sunset Islands home at the Palau Condominium is light, bright, and soothing. With a dock and water views, the client wanted a vacation home that exudes relaxation and fun. Set in various shades of wood, sleek finishes, and coral tones, the inviting aesthetic is a welcome departure from the Northern cold. Jaeger Interiors created a new lighting design with dropped ceilings and different sources of ambient lighting. The carpentry work was carefully conceived as to not make the look of the apartment heavy.
We opted for clean sleek lines to contrast with the millwork and a floating glass console to maximize the space in the foyer. Contemporary details in the art and black and white lined sculptures and maroon wing chair add a bold focal point. The living room and dining room are divided by custom millwork in warm wood. The same wood serves as the backdrop to the TV wall with a floating console. Light tones in the sofa and accents allow the natural landscape to provide a gorgeous setting. Complementary tones continue in the dining room where sculptural peach colored-dining chairs are placed around a sleek round marble dining table. An oversized mirror reflects the beautiful space making it appear larger in scale. Symmetry happens in threes in the kitchen where three wooden stools and a trio of light fixtures bring cohesiveness to the neutral, polished kitchen. Jaeger interiors focused on adding touches of rose to compliment the organic look of the millwork, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance. The primary bedroom is a sanctuary for these clients, where soft textures and a natural color palette preside. A custom headboard doubles as a wall lining, while the lighting fixture mounted on the mirror adds the finishing touch.
